- Dinner that night was, well, very awkward to say the least. Marie was fuming, but didn't say a word to anyone while we ate. Mom and Dad mostly talked between themselves, not involving us kids much in the conversation. Bree and I must have looked as guilty as we felt, and Marie was staring icy daggers into us both.
